Big Brothers Big Sisters of America
Sun Management brothers Jim and John Vanderzon have been involved in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America program for 30 years, serving a “Bigs” for two brothers, who are now 39, since they were 9. It has been a wonderful, at times challenging, bi-directionally beneficial relationship. We can both say we are better fathers because of our Big Brothers experiences. Our own children, who are privileged, have learned that others do not have it nearly so well.

Wounded Warrior Project is a veterans’ service organization offering a variety of programs, services and events for wounded veterans. Sun Management contributes to its Military Health System Cyber-Infrastructure.
Vets in Tech supports current and returning veterans with re-integration services and by connecting them to the national technology ecosystem. Sun Management appreciates the commitment our veterans have made to our country and values the opportunity to aid these men and women.

Paradox Sports is dedicated to helping people with disabilities push their limits and rethink what’s possible. Youth and disabled veterans alike are empowered to climb mountains and summit peaks across the world. Paradox Sports seeks to recognize and foster an individual’s potential and strength, defying the assumption that people with a physical disability can’t lead a life of excellence.
Urban Alliance has proven that early employment, along with positive adult mentoring, professional development and workforce readiness training, competitive hourly pay, and ongoing guidance and support, can change a young person’s path in life. Sun Management supports Urban Alliance to give the youth of tomorrow a brighter future.
Breast Cancer Prevention Partners works to prevent breast cancer by eliminating exposure to toxic chemicals and radiation linked to the disease. This is a fund very near and dear to our hearts, and we personally and professionally give financial support to the organization.
American Indian College Fund has been the nation’s largest charity supporting Native student access to higher education. We provide scholarships, programming to improve Native American student access to higher education, and the support and tools for them to succeed once they are there.
World Wildlife Fund works to help local communities conserve the natural resources they depend upon, transform markets and policies toward sustainability, and protect and restore species and their habitats. Our efforts ensure that the value of nature is reflected in decision-making from a local to a global scale.
World Wide Kitchen, during Covid-19, is working across America to safely distribute individually packaged, fresh meals to healthcare workers on the frontline and to communities that need support – for children and families to pick up and take home, as well as delivery to seniors who cannot venture outside.
